Dr. Norman Kane is a very smart man! He definitely knows what he is doing in surgery. Plus, I like his accent. His staff of nurses and other assisting employees in his offices are very pleasent and conserned with there patients.

Great and Compassionate Surgeon

I had my 3rd hand surgery with Dr Downing and again with great results. Two of my surgeries were done with wide awake surgery and the best way to go. One of my surgeries was much more serious and due to other health reasons I take blood thinners and Dr Downing was one of the very few doctors in the country who would do the surgery while still on blood thinners and it went well.

The time he takes with his patients to explain their individual problem is highly unusual in the medical field and especially with surgeons.

You couldn’t find a better doctor who not only has excellent skills but also the compassion for his patients.

I'm a new patient of Dr. Downey. His office staff made me comfortable from the first call. I arrived for one of the mornings first patients. Was greeted and started paperwork promptly. Was called back quickly. RN greeted me and wisked me away for X-rays. Dr Downey went over my shoulder Xray and felt at this point I didn't need surgery. So relieved! I work in an ER and consult with many specialists frequently. Dr, Downey is a professional and made me feel very comfortable. He explained my injuries very clearly and took the time to answer all of our questions. He scheduled several follow ups to ensure the stability of my healing bone. Looking forward to a speedy recovery and a continued relationshiip with Ortho 1.

Unusually amazing

The cleanest clinic hospital ER urgent room I’ve ever been to. The people are super friendly. X-ray guy was amazing and gentle. Dr. Downing was understanding, gentle and made me feel comfortable. He gave me a trigger point injection, which is Painful and it takes not that long, but it feels like forever even with the freezing. He understood, and he was sensitive to my fear. That was my first visit. I’m very happy. I will be back.

Dr Kristopher Downing is an excellent upper extremity orthopedic surgeon. He is patient, compassionate and skillful. I’ve gotten trigger fingers surgeries done by him and I can’t get enough praises for how unnoticeable the scars are, not to mention the relief I get from pain and discomfort before the surgeries. I've seen Dr James Andry several times now. He's very thorough and will take time to answer your questions so come prepared. I'm a nurse and so I appreciate his answering all of my questions. He's very encouraging but doesn't sugar coat either. He expects you to follow instructions and perform your physical exercises regularly at home.

I really like this doctor. He took plenty of time with me, explained clearly what I didn’t understand, and figured out what was wrong. He helped get rid of the nagging pain I had experienced for 10 weeks, I couldn’t believe it. I’m grateful for that. He consider d my unique situation, and didn’t diagnose using a reference book of “similar symptoms” across a broad population. He focused on me and my needs.

Extremely grateful that I found Dr. Palia! He is not your average surgeon. He has high expectations. He is critical of others in the care pipeline. He repaired a complete tear of my patellar tendon and rotator cuff/labrum tear. He did such a good job I swear my "bad" knee is stronger than the good one. My rotator cuff tear was in a rare place. He said he might not be able to repair it with conventional methods. When I came out of surgery he said it was a good repair. He was correct!!

Unlike the other Orthos I've seen,
Dr K did a thorough exam and concluded that I DO NOT NEED SURGERY at this time, just a knee brace. He really earned my respect and confidence. I will soon be fitted for my new brace so I can walk and stand without my knee slipping out of place, Thank you, Dr.K.

Dr. McKnight saw me on time and explained my treatment plan clearly. Often I feel doctors look at patients as just a number or try to rush through the appointment, but Dr. McKnight really seemed to care. I left Dr. McKnight's office with optimism that my back issues will be a thing of the past.

Dr. McKnight did my mom’s back surgery and now she’s doing great! Before she wasn’t able to hardly get out of her chair because of the pain and now she’s pain free. She’s back to gardening and doing everything else she wants to do. Dr. McKnight is a wonderful and compassionate doctor.

I was having back issues that came out of nowhere . MRI showed compression in the my L4 & L5 . After trying steroid injections that helped a little, I still had pain.
Dr. McKnight recommended a facet ablation and am happy to say the previous pain I had every day for 9 weeks was gone.

Dr Peterson successfully repaired my mother's fractured femur, after a severe fall. He is kind, caring and kept our family informed of her upcoming procedure. During her consultation, before and after surgery we received calls from him personally. Outstanding Orthopedic surgeon and we recommend him highly!

Dr Peterson was right on time for my appointment. I love that about any provider. The Dr was thorough and polite. He was knowledgeable about my condition and offered options or treatment. the office was clean and tidy. The reception areas are comfortable and pleasant. The staff were friendly and prompt.

My son went to see Dr Peterson for a wrist fracture and Dr Peterson was very professional he answered all out concerns. The staff was nice. The place very clean. Had a great experience.

A recent finger injury led me to Dr Peterson. Originally I was scheduled to have surgery at his surgery center at the California Orthopaedic Institute. The morning of my surgery I was tested for Covid, and very surprising to me I tested positive (absolutely no symptoms). Dr Peterson's assistant informed me I could not have the surgery because their operating room was not equipped for a Covid patient but to wait in my car as Dr Peterson was calling around to various San Diego hospitals to find an operating room for me. I was later scheduled for my procedure at Scripps Mercy Hospital and Dr Peterson was there waiting for me. I am so thankful that he went out of his way to find a place to accommodate my special needs and for his explanation of what the surgery would entail. I am grateful to Dr Peterson for his caring attitude and his skill operating on my finger! Thank you.

Dr. Tradonsky performed surgery on my upper arm, and within 3 months I have just about full use of my arm and hand again. He and his staff were communicative, available for even the smallest question, and were instrumental to my recovery. I cant thank them enough!

Dr. Tradonsky did the repair of my massive rotator-cuff tear. Some don't care for the seriousness of surgeons but I appreciate it. All business no small talk. Perfect. Most impressive was Dr Tradonsky's decision during surgery to repair rather than 'reconstruct' my shoulder with outside materials. I had carried the full tear through the pandemic so the prognosis for repair wasn't good. But he made that decision and I'm extremely grateful for it as I have my actual tendons securely back in place. I've worked super hard in therapy to validate his decision. Thank you so much sir.

My experience with Dr. Tradonsky was great. He took on my surgery when another said I was too high risk. My surgery went he help me through my post surgery with my other health issues. I would highly recommend him.

At first I was angry with the world. After being referred to Dr. Tradonsky I finally felt like someone was going to help me regain some type of mobility and experience life without tremendous pain. The Dr. and his staff listened to me and responded accordingly to assist me throughout this traumatic ordeal! I honestly feel like living again!

Adam is extremely knowledgeable. I ask a lot of questions about physical therapy and he answers them with a smile. He is attentive. He modifies exercises as needed. Adam is interactive and polite. I told Adam if someone else was hired I would only work with him. LOL, seriously. He's good!
His aid, Allen is helpful and attentive also. Allen will show me how to do exercise given and kindly let me know if I'm doing it wrong. He is encouraging and so is Adam. is too.

Every physical therapy session left me feeling stronger and more confident because of Adam's approach and his willingness to answer all of my questions. I felt seen and safe at each appointment. This was my second round of PT for the same injury, and this facility was BY FAR better than the first facility I went to. The environment, the therapist, the aids, the equipment, and just everything about it was such a better experience for me. I'm forever grateful for Ortho1, Adam Levie, and his incredible team. 10/10 recommend!
